They are also pretty expensive, and I don't think there is any kind of mortgage system...meaning you just have to pay cash! Pretty crazy! We don't know any foreigners who own a house here unless they have lived here for over 20 years (apparently it used to be easier way back!)Amy Medinahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02445986974714298954noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5118517190489901866.post-10059234618169571232009-06-24T12:03:07.677+03:002009-06-24T12:03:07.677+03:00Can you buy something? Then you could put down your roots.
You are probably laughing- it probably takes more government paperwork to do that than moving! We have had our paperwork problems of our own--- we arrived 3.5 weeks ago. We registered with the government and have been waiting for our work permits. Ha ha ha ha. After several weeks they told us we owe a fine and need to leave the country and come back to get a work permit- for no reason... HA HA HA crazy paperwork and government hoops! hang in there.Tundra Momhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16660898933181229263noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5118517190489901866.post-28270652680209545942009-06-14T22:12:15.793+03:002009-06-14T22:12:15.793+03:00So sorry to hear of this delay. I'm thankful for the uncertainty for three reasons: 1) valleys produce immeasurable growth, 2) I wouldn't trade God's presence in the midst of the uncertainty for all the certainty in the world, and 3) the plan God had and has now effected was well worth the wait.

But the thing is, I can really only say that now. In hindsight. I didn't see any of this until the very end, right before we moved. While I was slogging through it, my emotions were all over the board and the lies in my head seemed to be a constant companion. I don't know if you are struggling with emotions or lies, but in the event that you are, I will pray specifically that God's truth continues to bombard your heart and mind as you described in this post.Becky Framehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03962268347520900807noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5118517190489901866.post-92092198916457762502009-06-13T13:59:33.002+03:002009-06-13T13:59:33.002+03:00I'll be praying for you guys...I'll be praying for you guys...The Malmgaard Familyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01895781681741009013noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5118517190489901866.post-47317914754328912922009-06-13T09:01:01.036+03:002009-06-13T09:01:01.036+03:00aww good post amy i hope things will get worked ou...aww good post amy i hope things will get worked out for you guys. and i i sort of cant live my life un schduled either but ive had to grow acustomed to it due to my unplanning family. we do stuff at the spur of the momment which causes not needed stress!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
